



2 1/2 cups warm water
2 Tbs yeast
Combine and let sit until bubbly
Then add....
2 tsp salt
2 Tbs oil
4 cups flour
Mix well then add 3 more cups flour 1/2 cup at a time stirring well after each.
Knead and let rise until doubled.
Punch down and divide into 8 sections
shape into nice little balls and place on greased and lightly cornmealed cookie sheet.
Let rise until doubled
Brush with 3 egg whites + 2 Tbs water
Bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
Brush again with remaining egg white mixture and let finish baking for another 10-15 minutes.
Let cool then cut off 1/2 " and scoop out bread. leave about 1/2" - 3/4" thick.
We LOVED them! And they look really impressive and fancy!

I have a goal of someday decorating our house. Right now I am just working on keeping it clean. I think fall and Christmas are my two favorite seasons to decorate for though.
